During the Spring 2025 semester, I was one of two students from my school to study abroad at the American University in Cairo (AUC), Egypt, as the first cohort of the Columbia AUC partership program. My time in Cairo was a formative experience that deepened my understanding of the Middle East and my Arabic language abilities profoundly.
